Frankfurt is our central European region and the natural home for groups in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland and Czechia. It is one of the best-connected internet exchanges on the continent, which is why a mixed European group usually gets the most even experience here. Keen Games is a German studio; a Frankfurt server is as close to home as Enshrouded gets.

An Enshrouded dedicated server runs the world for everyone in it, so the whole group feels the distance to it. For players spread across several EU countries a central location beats any one of them hosting from home — and the server stays open when that player logs off.

Every server runs Keen’s official dedicated server from Steam and checks Steam for a new build each time it restarts — so after a patch it stays on the version your players are running. Admin and Friend roles come set up with their own passwords, and you change both from the dashboard. If most of your players are in the UK or Ireland, look at London instead; for the Nordics and the Baltics, Helsinki.
