About the pack
What is Beyond Depth?
It is an exploration-first kitchen sink: 400+ mods pointed at discovery rather than checklists, with expanded biomes, revamped Nether and End, three whole extra dimensions and hundreds of new structures hiding tougher bosses from the likes of Mowzie’s Mobs and L_Ender’s Cataclysm. Better Combat parrying, Waystones travel and Create automation round it out, and three million downloads in its first year say the formula lands.
Multiplayer is genuinely first-class in the design — FTB Teams and shared quests are built in — but hosting it yourself is famously painful: the authors publish no dedicated server files, and the standard download bricks a server twelve seconds into boot. That is the part we solved. Our installer removes every client-only mod (classified against CurseForge’s own metadata, then boot-verified on our hardware), so the server your group joins is the one we actually measured running.

Across two test worlds our servers idled at 5.6GB and 6.8GB before anyone joined, which is why we gate checkout at 8GB and recommend 10GB. An exploration pack keeps generating fresh terrain — the number only climbs as the map spreads.
Never hand-copy the CurseForge download onto a server
The public zip is the client build, and its interface, shader and animation mods crash a dedicated server on sight. Provisioning here installs from the manifest and strips that entire class automatically — the same fix applies again on every pack update.
Pre-generate where the group is heading
Discovery packs concentrate lag at the frontier: new chunks mean new structures rolling and new dimension terrain. A pre-generation pass around spawn and along your exploration heading turns weekend expeditions smooth.
