MC Eternal 2
Server Hosting
A quest-driven kitchen sink: bosses, colonies, reactors and rats with cheese cannons.
MC Eternal 2 started as a pack built to play with friends and grew into one of the biggest quest packs on CurseForge, with more than 640 mods. It has Mekanism reactors, Create trains, MineColonies towns, Iron’s Spells, custom dimensions and hundreds of bosses, all tied together by a quest book with its own coin shop. Order here and the pack comes pre-selected, with Forge, Java 17 and the official server files installed before your first join.

How much RAM does MC Eternal 2 need?
MC Eternal 2 needs 8GB of server memory to start and runs best on 10GB — the same guidance our checkout enforces, so a plan that can't run the pack can't be bought with it. Every size below carries it; resize anytime and your world moves with you.
8 GB
300% CPU · 60 GB NVMe · 3 backups · 1 DB
Clears the pack's minimum — fine for two or three careful players, with little headroom to spare.

MC Eternal 2, installed before you join
01Order with the pack pre-selected
Come from this page and MC Eternal 2 is already picked at checkout — no searching, no version guesswork. Choose a plan and region and pay.
02We install everything server-side
Provisioning sets up Forge for Minecraft 1.20.1, the matching Java runtime and the pack's own server files. Most servers are joinable within minutes.
03Update and roll back from the panel
Pack updates install with one click and a backup snapshots your world first — following a pack’s development never risks the map.

MC Eternal 2 server pack & server files
MC Eternal 2 publishes its server files as a separate Server Pack download on the pack’s CurseForge Files tab. It is not the same zip as the client pack: client-only mods are stripped out and start scripts are included. MC Eternal 2 on CurseForge ↗
Running the MC Eternal 2 server yourself
- 01Install Java 17 — the runtime Forge on Minecraft 1.20.1 is built for. The wrong Java is the most common reason a pack server refuses to start.
- 02Unzip the server pack into an empty folder and run its start script (or the Forge installer it bundles).
- 03Give the JVM 10GB with -Xmx — 8GB is the realistic floor for this pack.
- 04Accept the EULA in eula.txt, forward port 25565, and keep the machine on whenever anyone wants to play.

About the pack
What is MC Eternal 2?
MC Eternal 2 is a hybrid kitchen-sink pack: there is no single path, and you choose whether to be a mage, an engineer, a farmer or all three. A mysterious letter from the Questmaster opens a quest book with hundreds of quests, and completing them earns coins to spend in a quest shop. Osmium only spawns in “The Great Below”, a custom mining dimension. Tinkers’ Construct gets hundreds of extra materials from the pack’s own Tinker Tantrum addon.
Pack modes let your group pick the experience when you create the world: Calm, Standard (the recommended default, with recipe changes) or Chaos. With 640+ mods it is one of the heaviest packs we host, and its MineColonies towns, dragons and boss arenas reward a server that stays online while everyone is away.
From our game servers team
Running MC Eternal 2 well
Budget for the full 640 mods
This is one of the largest packs we host. Start at 12GB for a group, and go bigger for a public server or a MineColonies-heavy world, because colonies add workers and entities that tick constantly.
Choose the pack mode before the world exists
Calm, Standard and Chaos change recipes and difficulty, and the choice is made when the world is created. Agree on it as a group before the first real session; switching later means starting a fresh world.
The server files come wrapped in a folder
The official server files ship inside one top-level folder. Self-hosted, that boots an empty Forge server with no mods. Our installer detects the wrapper and lifts the pack into place, which is how our test server loaded all 547 mods on its first boot.
Pre-generate before boss hunting
Hundreds of structures and dungeons make worldgen expensive. Pre-generating a radius around spawn keeps exploration smooth when several players head out in different directions.
