Project Zomboid server hosting
Frankfurt is our central European region and the natural home for groups in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland and Czechia. It is one of the best-connected internet exchanges on the continent, which is why a group spread across several EU countries usually gets the most even experience here.
Project Zomboid simulates every zombie, vehicle and container on the server, so everyone feels the distance to it: late hits, delayed loot actions and stuttering cars all get worse as the round trip grows. For a mixed European group a central location beats any one player hosting from home — and the server stays up when that player logs off.
Every server runs Build 42 stable with a one-setting switch to the legacy Build 41 branch, installs Steam Workshop mods from your panel, and can load a Build 42 save you have already started. If most of your players are in the Nordics, look at Helsinki; if they are in the UK, London.
Everything included with the server — the dashboard, backups, mods and world upload — is on the main Project Zomboid server hosting page.
Estimates from the distance to the datacentre, not a live measurement — your own connection moves them a few milliseconds either way.
Plans
Every plan runs on the same hardware in this region, with DDoS protection, automatic backups and instant setup included.
Questions
Yes. Checkout prices and bills in EUR for customers in the eurozone, by card or PayPal, monthly or quarterly, with no setup fee and no per-slot pricing.
Choose the region closest to where most of your players live: London for the UK and Ireland, Helsinki for Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the Baltics, Frankfurt for everywhere in between. If you get it wrong, we can move the server for you.
Yes, in every region. The server installs Workshop mods itself from the Workshop item list and the mod list in your panel, and downloads everything on boot. One Build 42 rule applies wherever the server is hosted: a mod has to be updated for Build 42 to load, so check the Workshop page before you add it.
Yes. Set a server password and share it with your group, or switch public visibility off so the server never appears in the in-game browser. Both are ordinary settings in your panel, whichever region you host in.
