Your RuneScape: Dragonwilds server has one owner, and the server decides who that is by matching one value: the Player ID (Owner ID) on the Server Settings tab. Set it to your own Player ID and you can ban and unban anyone. Leave it unset, or type it wrong, and you are a regular player on your own server.
Find your Player ID
- Launch RuneScape: Dragonwilds on your PC.
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to the very bottom. Your Player ID is shown there with a copy button.
- Press the copy button. Do not retype the ID — it is long, and one wrong character makes it somebody else's.
This is the location Jagex's dedicated-server guide gives, and it is the only place Jagex documents.
Put it on the server
- In your dashboard, open the service and go to Server Settings.
- Paste the ID into Player ID (Owner ID) and save.
- Restart the server from the Overview tab. The server reads the ID at start, so nothing changes until it restarts.
Check it worked
Join the server and open the pause menu. As the owner you have the ban controls, including the power to unban. If you cannot see them, the ID does not match: go back to the game's Settings menu, copy it again, paste it over the old value and restart.
What each role can do
Jagex's guide describes three levels of access:

Two consequences worth knowing before you hand out the admin password:
- Only the owner can unban. A ban placed by an admin needs you to lift it.
- Admin is a password, not a list. Anyone who knows the Admin Password is an admin. The only way to remove an admin is to change the password on the Server Settings tab and restart — which removes every admin at once.
There is no whitelist on a Dragonwilds dedicated server. To keep a server private, set a World Password on the Server Settings tab and share it privately; use bans for anyone who should not be there.
Player ID or EOS ID?
You may see community posts saying the field wants your EOS (Epic Online Services) ID from the server log rather than the Player ID from the Settings menu. Jagex's guide says the Settings-menu Player ID. Use that first and confirm you have the owner controls in the pause menu. If you do not, open a ticket and tell us — we are testing this on our own servers and will update this guide with a definite answer.
Changing the owner
To hand the server to someone else, paste their Player ID into the field and restart. From that restart they are the owner and you are not — including the unban power — so do it deliberately.
