How much RAM does Tensura Evolutions need?
Tensura Evolutions needs 4GB of server memory to start and runs best on 6GB — the same guidance our checkout enforces, so a plan that can't run the pack can't be bought with it. Every size below carries it; resize anytime and your world moves with you.
4 GB
200% CPU · 30 GB NVMe · 3 backups · 1 DB
Clears the pack's minimum — fine for two or three careful players, with little headroom to spare.

Tensura Evolutions server pack & server files
Tensura Evolutions publishes its server files as a separate Server Pack download on the pack’s CurseForge Files tab — the newest server-ready build is Tensura Evolutions-1.0.69.9.zip. It is not the same zip as the client pack: client-only mods are stripped out and start scripts are included. Tensura Evolutions on CurseForge ↗
Running the Tensura Evolutions server yourself
- 01Install Java 21 — the runtime NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1 is built for. The wrong Java is the most common reason a pack server refuses to start.
- 02Unzip the server pack into an empty folder and run its start script (or the NeoForge installer it bundles).
- 03Give the JVM 6GB with -Xmx — 4GB is the realistic floor for this pack.
- 04Accept the EULA in eula.txt, forward port 25565, and keep the machine on whenever anyone wants to play.

About the pack
What is Tensura Evolutions?
Tensura Evolutions is an adventure and RPG pack for groups who want the anime’s progression rather than a kitchen sink. Tensura: Reincarnated supplies the races, skills, evolutions and magicules; the pack’s own quest book turns that into a route, with a Main Story of ranked chapters and a Side Story that lists the Tensura bosses to hunt, Elemental Spirits, and an Ice and Fire chapter. Addons such as Not Enough Bosses, Better Subordinates, Gateways and the Skill Trainer fill in the parts of the series the base mod leaves out.
Around the Tensura core sit the mods that make a 1.21 adventure pack feel finished: Iron’s Spells ’n Spellbooks and Better Combat for fighting, L_Ender’s Cataclysm and Ice and Fire for the dungeons and dragons, Sophisticated Backpacks and Refined Storage for loot, Tectonic terrain, Farmer’s Delight, and FTB Teams so a party shares quest progress. It is updated often — the 1.0.69 line shipped five builds in a fortnight — and every release since late August has carried an official server pack.
From our game servers team
Running Tensura Evolutions well
Expect frequent pack updates
The author ships new builds every few days during active development, and players on the CurseForge app update automatically. Keep an eye on the pack version your group runs and update the server from the panel when the client moves, or newer players will be refused.
Set up a team before anyone claims a race
Quest progress is shared through FTB Teams. Have everyone join one party before the first quest so nobody has to redo the introduction chapter, and so boss kills count for the whole group.
Give the boss fights room
Cataclysm dungeons, Ice and Fire dragons and the Tensura bosses are the heaviest moments on the server. Pre-generate a few thousand blocks around spawn and keep render distance moderate so a dragon fight does not become a slideshow for everyone else online.
Keep the Skill Trainer honest
The pack includes the Tensura Skill Trainer, which can grind skills unattended. Agree as a group whether it is allowed on your server, and if not, say so in the rules before someone wakes up with a maxed-out Great Sage.
