We Rebuilt Connect Hosting From the Ground Up: Here's What Changed

We rebuilt Connect Hosting from scratch — not a redesign, a complete ground-up rebuild. New dashboard, one-click mods, server templates, permanent free servers, and a community hub. Here is everything that changed.

For the past several months, we've been quietly rebuilding Connect Hosting from scratch. Not a redesign. Not a facelift. A complete, ground-up rebuild of every system, every page, and every workflow on the platform.

Today, it's live.

If you've used Connect Hosting before, forget what you knew. If you're new here — you picked a good time to show up.

Why We Rebuilt Everything

Connect Hosting started on WHMCS. If you've been around the hosting industry, you know WHMCS — it's the standard billing and automation platform that thousands of hosts run on. It works. It's reliable. And for a general-purpose hosting company, it's fine.

But we're not a general-purpose hosting company.

We're the official BeamMP hosting partner. 98% of our business is BeamMP servers. Our customers aren't buying generic VPS instances or WordPress hosting — they're running BeamNG.drive multiplayer servers, installing vehicle mods, managing player communities, and trying to get their server listed in the BeamMP browser.

WHMCS doesn't know what any of that means. It's a billing system that happens to provision servers. Every BeamMP-specific feature we wanted to build had to be hacked on top of a platform that was never designed for it. The checkout flow was a multi-page slog. The dashboard showed generic server metrics with no awareness of what was actually running. Mod installation meant FTP. Server configuration meant editing files by hand.

We hit a ceiling. The only way to build the hosting experience we actually wanted to build was to start over.

So we did.

The new Connect Hosting is a fully custom-built platform — designed from day one for one thing: running BeamMP servers. Every feature, every workflow, every screen exists because a BeamMP server owner needs it.

Here's what that looks like.

What's New

3-Click Checkout — Server Live in Under 60 Seconds

The old checkout was a multi-page slog that took 5–10 minutes on a good day.

The new checkout has three steps: Configure → Pay → Playing.

Pick your plan, choose your options, pay, and your server is provisioned automatically on AMD EPYC hardware. No manual setup. No waiting for an admin to click a button. By the time you finish reading the confirmation screen, your server is online and ready for players.

We timed it. From clicking "Order" to joining your server in BeamMP: typically under 60 seconds.

Permanent Free BeamMP Server

No trials, no credit card, no catch. It's a real BeamMP server, on real hardware, yours with no time limit, completely free.

Sign in with Discord. That's it. No email verification chains, no billing details, no "upgrade to continue" popups after a week. You get a server, you get access to the dashboard, and you're playing in under a minute.

We're the only BeamMP host that offers this. We believe the best way to show you what Connect Hosting can do is to let you use it — no strings attached. If you want more resources or premium features later, great. If the free server does everything you need, that's fine too. It's yours.

Community Hub

Most hosts sell you a server and that's it. You buy a server, you manage your server, you leave. There's no sense of community, no way to discover what other people are running, no connection between server owners.

We built something different.

The Community Hub is a built-in server browser where you can discover other Connect Hosting servers, browse available mods and maps, check server rankings and player counts, and search for specific players. You can see what's popular, find servers running your favorite maps, or discover new ones you haven't tried.

This isn't a separate website or a third-party integration — it's part of the platform. When you log in, the community is right there alongside your dashboard. You can see what other people are running and find servers worth joining.

We haven't seen another BeamMP host do this.

One-Click Mod Installer

If you've installed mods the FTP way, you know it's a pain. That's gone.

The new platform has a built-in mod library with vehicles and maps. Browse it, find what you want, click Install. The mod is on your server. Want to remove it? Click Uninstall. Want to swap to a different map? Two clicks.

No FTP clients. No file management. No downloading files to your desktop just to re-upload them somewhere else. You can completely change your server's mod lineup in seconds, not minutes.

We're continuously expanding the library, with new vehicles and maps added regularly. But more on that later.

Server Templates

Not everyone wants to spend time hand-configuring their server settings and picking mods one by one. Sometimes you just want to get a specific type of server running — now.

Server Templates are one-click setups for different play styles:

  • Racing — Track maps, competitive vehicles, lap timing configuration
  • Drift — Drift-friendly maps, tuned vehicles, appropriate physics settings
  • Roleplay — Open-world maps, civilian vehicles, RP-oriented server rules
  • Casual Freeroam — The classic. Open map, variety of vehicles, low-pressure fun
  • Competitive — Structured play, balanced vehicles, competitive server settings

Each template configures your server settings and installs the right mods automatically. Pick a template, and your server is ready for that specific experience in seconds. You can always customize from there — templates are a starting point, not a locked configuration.

Go Public Wizard

One of the most common questions in the BeamMP community: "Why isn't my server showing up in the server browser?"

Usually the answer involves auth keys, server configuration fields, port settings, and a trip to the BeamMP documentation. It's not hard once you know how, but for a new server owner, it's a real barrier.

The Go Public Wizard walks you through every step. Auth key setup, server name, description, tags, map selection — all guided, all in the dashboard. Each step explains what it does and why it matters. By the end, your server is configured correctly, listed in the BeamMP server browser, and visible to every BeamMP player.

No docs. No guesswork. No forum posts asking why it's not working.

Live Dashboard

The server dashboard shows you everything that matters, in real time:

  • Player count — who's on your server right now
  • Resource usage — CPU, memory, and disk utilization with live graphs
  • Server console — full console output, streamed live to your browser
  • Event logs — player joins, disconnects, mod loads, errors — a log of what happened and when

This isn't a stats page that refreshes every 30 seconds. It's a live view. When a player joins your server, you see it immediately. When memory usage spikes, you see it immediately. You always know exactly what's happening on your server at a glance.

Player Management

Managing players on a BeamMP server traditionally means typing console commands. /kick PlayerName. /ban PlayerID. Hope you got the syntax right.

The new dashboard has a full player management panel. See every player currently online with their session info. Kick, ban, or whitelist with a click. View player history — when they joined, how long they played, whether they've been banned before.

Build and manage your whitelist for private servers. Handle problem players without memorizing commands. Run your community from a clean interface, not a text console.

Scheduled Tasks

Servers need maintenance. Restarts keep things fresh. Backups protect your configuration. Crash recovery keeps you online when something goes wrong.

Scheduled Tasks comes with pre-built templates for the most common needs:

  • Daily Restart — automatic server restart at a time you choose
  • Daily Backup — snapshot your server files on a schedule
  • Crash Recovery — detect when your server goes down and restart it automatically

Enable any of them with one click. Or, if you need something specific, create custom schedules with full cron expression support. Run a backup every 6 hours. Restart every Monday at 4 AM. Whatever your server needs.

Full File Manager & Config Editor

For the things that need a hands-on approach, you have two options.

The Config Editor gives you a clean UI for editing your ServerConfig.toml — every field laid out with labels, descriptions, and validation. Change your server name, adjust max players, configure authentication settings, all through form fields. No syntax errors, no misplaced commas.

The File Manager is a full file browser for your server. Navigate directories, edit text files, upload and download — everything you'd do in an FTP client, but in your browser with no setup required. For advanced users who want full control over their server files, it's all there.

Discord Bot

Your server, in your Discord.

Link your Discord account to Connect Hosting and manage your server without leaving the app. Check server status — is it online, how many players, what map is running. Restart your server when something goes wrong. Get notifications when events happen.

For server owners who live in Discord (which is most of the BeamMP community), this means you can keep an eye on things without ever opening a browser tab.

New Pricing

We simplified everything.

3 Standard plans. 3 Premium plans. That's it. No confusing tiers, no hidden add-ons, no "contact us for pricing" on the plan you actually want.

Standard plans start at $4.99/month for 4GB RAM, unlimited player slots, and 10GB NVMe storage. Every paid plan includes full access to all dashboard features — mod installer, templates, scheduled tasks, file manager, everything.

Premium plans add dedicated resources, priority support, and higher resource allocations for servers that need more power.

And of course, there's the free tier — a real server with access to the full platform, no time limit, no credit card.

Our pricing hasn't changed — still starting at $4.99/month. The difference now is you're getting a platform that's actually built for what you're doing.

What Stays the Same

Same infrastructure — AMD EPYC hardware, same team, same Discord support. If you have existing servers, your data is safe and your servers are running. What changed is everything you see and interact with on top of it.

What's Coming Next

Here's what we're working on next:

  • Expanded mod library — more vehicles, more maps, added regularly
  • Community features — server reviews, community events, enhanced rankings
  • BeamMarket — a mod marketplace where creators can share (and eventually sell) their mods directly through the platform

We're not ready to say more about BeamMarket yet, but it's coming. Stay tuned.

Try It Today

Everything we've talked about is live right now — stable and ready.

Want to see it for yourself? Grab a free server. No credit card, no commitment. Sign in with Discord and you're playing in under a minute.
